Situated in the urban area of Agios Athanasios in Limassol, Cyprus, APSquared Architects - architectural studio are proposing “THE CUBE”, a three storey building. The clean white volume with its simplicity is allowing light to be the primary focus, and through the proposed screenings light and shadows are proposing a surprise game.

The building rises above ground interconnecting the surrounding topography within the proposed boundaries, unifying and repositioning the buildings essence within the broader urban fabric.

The Cube provides new ways to view the concept of living. Introversion and privacy are the two main components expressed by the design. The external screening walls are far more than just an element of division between the interior and exterior. They are defining the boundary between the public and the private, between the common and the unique, the ordinary and the special, the unknown and the intimate.
